Weather’s changing, skin’s changing

That’s right as the weather is changing and we are preparing for autumn our skin is changing with it.

With the dark nights slowly drawing in so is the change in our skin.

What can we do?

Well, as the heating is being switched on this will result in our skin starting to become a bit dryer and a little more dull in appearance.

Here’s what I’d recommend.

Use a more rich moisturiser to help keep the skin hydrated.

Exfoliate 2-3x a week to help the skin cell turn over. This also removes dead skin so it will leave your skin looking more radiant.

Face mask at least once a week – use either a hydrating, revitalising or brightening face mask.

If you’re still struggling I’d suggest looking at either a hydrating serum or a brightening serum.

I hope you all having glowing skin through autumn.

My grown up chapter.

My grown up chapter.

Me? Grown up? Who’d a thought it?

Certainly not me!

Well here it is, it’s official.

I’m officially a home owner!

Me and Jon bought our first home together.

It’s a 1930s mid terrace that needs a LOT of love.

So that’s what we’re going to do.

From these pictures you can see it’s a very old house, but a perfect project for us both.

We’ve had the keys for about 2 weeks now and have stripped the house of all the wall paper, fake wood, curtains but not the carpets. We like these so we’re going to keep them … only joking they were first on the list to go! The kitchens been pulled out along with the built in wardrobes and the electric storage heaters, which weigh as much as a ton of bricks (see what I did there?) if you didn’t know (which I didn’t) they fill the storage heaters with bricks which release heat throughout the night.

I have found myself already (I can’t believe I’m about to own up to this) turning the lights off after I’ve left the room, making sure all lights are off except the room we’re in and even removing wall paper at night with my phone torch on so no electricity is being used.

What’s happened to me.

My dad always used the typical famous dad saying.   “it’s like black pool illuminations in here“ Haha how things have now changed that I’ve got to pay!

Anyway.

Here are our progress pictures.

You can see it’s already looking better (even with the mess)

Now the house is stripped back, it’s time for us to step back and let the gas people hook us up to the mains (that’s right we don’t have gas … £££) the electric people to rewire the plugs and sockets and finally the plaster to make our walls good as new again!

I can’t wait to start decorating and making it our own.

Keep a look out for the next blog about how the decorating is going. It could be a while till the next ones up!

Hope you’ve all enjoyed reading.

Sail Croatia

Wow, words can not describe how incredible this  holiday was, I would recommend Sail Croatia 18-35s to everyone! Keep reading to find out just how amazing it was.

Sail Croatia 18-35s – I’m sure you’ve all gathered what sort of holiday this is but it wasn’t just getting drunk. Myself and Jon flew to Split a day before our trip officially started, yes the heat and the smell of being abroad hit us as we got off that plane and our faces lit up knowing we had a week together in the sun. we arrived at our accommodation at around half 5 so naturally you get changed to go and explore oh and obviously find somewhere to get a glass of wine or two. Split is beautiful, full of history and pretty back streets leading to markets and restaurants, perfect!

A couple of drinks later on the seafront we decided it was time for dinner – bare in mind it was 32 degrees at half 8 at night, we stumbled across a cute little restaurant down one of the backstreets and ordered a bottle of wine to share. Turns out it wasn’t a bottle of wine it was a litre… here we go, zulu warrior haha just kidding, oh i had a pizza of course with chilli oil.

Day 1. We had to be out of our accommodation by half 10 as we were expected to be at the harbour for 1 o’clock. Why did we have to be at the harbour? Because we were living on a boat for 7 days!! Exciting I know! Breakfast on our mind we had a wander round trying to find somewhere nice but plop… that’s right … the only thing you didn’t want to happen … it happened to me… a big badass bird pooped on me. Drama I know. The worst thing is there was a man filming an interview and it definitely got caught on camera, already tried to find it on youtube, haha.

Anyway after Jon managed to get  the poop out of my hair, using all the makeup wipes I’d taken. We found the closest laundrette to wash my playsuit and bag. Breakfast was long overdue (and a glass of wine, don’t judge we’re on holiday and I have just been pooped on), as you can see from the picture it was good.

1pm at the harbour. We made it. Before we got told anything a lady from the company offered us an inflatable for the week (had to put a deposit down incase we broke it) there was a big choice but deffo the big watermelon for us to share #couplegoals. And here goes. We were told which boat we’d be on for the next 7 days, which we shared with 4 other people and our skipper. Health and safety out the way, bags in the room, cozzies on and on the top deck to set sail and get to know each other. Immy and Eddie, a couple from Southampton and Laura and Shannon, two crazy Aussies travelling around Europe on their last stop. Oh and of course our skipper pabs.

First stop, Milna.

Swim stop, with the drinks flowing. There were 5 boats in total and they all followed each other around so there was a big group of us all in. In the water we go on our inflatables to get to know everyone else before dinner. Milna, a little island near Split, was so pretty and secluded.

We had to get from the boat to land via a little dingy, definitely different, we arrived at the restaurant (they book the restaurant for us each night ) the food…was definitely interesting.

As we made it back to the boat we found out we hadn’t tied up our dingy so it was floating in between us and the boat but don’t worry pabs came to save us. It was pabs (our skippers) first tour by himself so he tried his hardest to get it all right.  But we loved him already (he made the holiday). Pabs name was actually Carlos but Immy didn’t get the memo and was calling him Pablo and now naturally it was his new name for the week.

Day 2 we set sail first thing to Makarska, with a swim stop half way. (You’ll start to see a pattern each day). Once we arrived we went to do a food shop but most importantly a drink shop, we had to find our own restaurant tonight before the pirate party – a rave in a cave… on the beachfront. We had heard there was a great jumping spot, most of us chickened out but Laura and some of the other guys went for it. There was music playing and the sun was out, what more could you want. The restaurant was so pretty and perfect, eating and drinking while the sunsets we were all ready to get back to the boat for pres. Roll on the cave, it was definitely a good night we all woke up the next morning with sore heads ready to set sail again.

Day 3 – Myself and Laura made the crew scrambled eggs, toast and ham, you’re limited on a boat and the fridge was full of drink, ha. You know what’s coming, swim stop. Oh and we bought the best thing for our swim stop, see, I’m sure you all agree. We arrived at our 3rd destination -Jelsa. This way by far my favourite place. It didn’t have much going on but some lovely restaurants around the harbour, a few cute shops but oh wait we were going WINE TASTING!! Just look at the pictures.

I’ve never done wine tasting before but always wanted to. When we arrived we got welcomed with a shot, not what i was expecting if i’m honest but definitely not complaining. The scenery was absolutely stunning. On our table was fresh cheese, ham, bread and 3 types of oil all made on the vineyard as well as shots and wine. We tried 2 white 1 rose and 1 red oh and a shot or two in between each one, they really didn’t hold back on the wine, large glasses of wine all the way. Feeling merry we noticed a baby donkey, cute. How perfect is life when your happy, wavy in a vineyard in a beautiful part of Croatia sipping wine and stroking a baby donkey #lifegoals.

Time to sober up, joking we got back to the boat everyone went for a cocktail before dinner and of course we all had wine at dinner, oh and ice cream for pudding on the way back to the boat.

On this night I found it hard to sleep and had been awake since 4 am, bucket list moment, watching the sunrise. Wake up Jon, we’re going to watch the sun come up, we walked to the end of the harbour, sat on the wall and just watched, peacefully. There’s something so magical about watching the sunrise!

Part 2, coming soon.

Home Update.

Hey, hey!

The last time we spoke we were waiting on all the bits doing that we needed the professionals for.

We have now been connected to the gas mains and had all our electrics done, the boilers in and the radiators are to die for!

In the meantime we’ve both been super busy in the house.

We have replastered where the walls were chased out for the electrics, repaired gaps and cracks where the old plaster was crumbling away and sanded the walls ready for lining! Lining of the walls has started, sanding of all the the floors is finished – oh and of course the interior shopping is still ongoing!

It’s really starting to look like a house now.

Also … remember that wall I plastered? Well there is now a radiator attached to it, standing strong and tall! To be honest I was really worried that we’d be told it wasn’t a strong enough wall for a radiator and it would need to be redone and by a professional – but here we are. Can I class myself as a pro plaster now? Or am I jumping the gun?

#proplasterer

I have this following week off and on my check list is to : Paint the ceilings, walls and Skirting boards. Varnish the floor ( maybe even get some furniture in there ). Exciting!

I know what your all thinking! You want to see pictures?

Well here you are.

Before and after pictures of our newly sanded floor.

The rooms lined and ready for painting.

Sneak peak of the living room wall colour. Also how amazing are the radiators?

Our next major project is the bathroom. This is the one room I’m desperate to change, so I’m super excited about getting it done. Here our some of my inspirational/ idea pictures for the bathroom.

I love the idea of a walk in shower with that style shower screen, the white tiles with black grouting and I love love love the idea of a free standing bath!

I’m hoping the bathroom company give us the go ahead today. If you have any ideas or opinions on the bathroom or the rest of the house it’s greatly appreciated.

Keep an eye out for my next post – Top tips on lining walls and repairing crumbling plaster.

Homeware Haul

Homeware haul ft my favourite furry friend!

As some of you know me and Jon have just bought a 1930s mid terrace house that we’re currently renovating.

One of my favourite things is to shop! My new favourite thing is to shop for the house. So I wanted to share with you just a few of my favourite pieces I’ve picked up on the way!

First off,

The bamboo lantern – chickidee.

How beautiful is this? I bought this thinking it will either go in the bathroom or the living room, I haven’t completely decided. However, wherever it goes it will look super pretty and bring the room together ( keep an eye out for where it might end up ).

https://chickidee.co.uk/collections/artisan-made/products/ira-bamboo-lantern-natural-medium-1

Aphrodite boujie naturelle candle, shade cream – Cäiä

I’ve seen these candles on a few Instagram stories and new I had to have one! Not only are they a gorgeous statement piece, they are 100% natural and biodegradable. So your not only making your home look more stylish, your helping a business and the world.

https://www.caiacandle.com/shopcaia/aphroditeboujiecremenaturelle

Home sign – Asda.

How cute? And it’s a bargain! I can’t wait to hang this little fella somewhere ( also undecided on its place ). I love the black out line writing and the leaves on it – works for every season.

https://groceries.asda.com/product/ornaments-vases/george-home-black-wire-home-sign-with-artificial-eucalyptus/1000176694928

Shell plate – Laura Ashley.

As soon as I caught it In the corner of my eye it was in my basket. It’s so delicate and different – definitely a perfect plate for snacks and a dip. That was the main thing I liked about it, you could keep the dip separate.  It’s also a perfect dish for if you have people round.

Unfortunately Laura Ashley is now closed so I can’t attach the link.

Candle holder – M&S

I just loved the colour. Perfect for this time of year and it just warms the room up. It’s labeled as a candle holder but I’m not sure wether I might use it as a vase, a bunch of flowers would pair well with it.

I got this the other week in the sale, there may be some left in a M&S near you but unfortunately they don’t have it online.

Bread board – A random garden centre.

Jon’s mum kindly bought this for us from a garden centre she’s recently visited. I love the colour of it. It will be perfect for your bread or for a sharing platter ( ready for the Instagram photos ) with a bottle of wine or just simply lent against the wall in the kitchen looking pretty.

Home neutrals fruit wood.

I hope this has given you some inspiration for your home or you’ve just enjoyed reading. If anyone has any good ideas on where I should place any of the items – please let me know, I always appreciate ideas.

DIY lath and plaster

DIY lath and plaster 1930s house.

That’s right!

I did it myself … well Jon and I did and it was actually okay!

(skip to the bottom if you don’t want to read the ramble)

So here’s the situation…

Once we’d stripped all the wallpaper and removed an electric storage heater in the upstairs bay window, it was evident from the crumbling plaster that it was in need of TLC! Underneath the plaster below the bay window was this thing called a lath (they used to use laths in the 1930’s before plasterboard was invented); it is a thin cross hatch of wooden strips with plaster over the top.

A very helpful gas man pointed out one day that we would need to insulate below the window as it would let in an awful draft and, as we intended to put a radiator there it would frankly, be a waste of money.

So what did we do next?  We jumped straight on to YouTube, obvs! “DIY lath and plaster “.was typed.

The first step was to remove all the lath and we found it was quite roomy behind it which was helpful because, following the instructions of the helpful gasman, we needed to insulate. We measured the bay window – twice – so we knew exactly how much plaster board we would need, and as everyone knows, after watching DIY videos on YouTube then a trip to Wickes is not far away. Off we went.

Wow! Plaster board is huge and heavy!  After we had shuffled it out of Wickes to the car park we had to cut it so it would fit into Jon’s car. It was clear for all in the car park at Wickes that we that we had no idea what we were doing  – which became clear when I noticed someone from the corner of my eye watching and slowly shaking their head, haha!

Hopefully we provided them some entertainment that morning, as it certainly entertained me #DIYwithElls.

Once back, we lined up the plaster board to see if our measurements had been correct. Of course they weren’t so we had to make some adjustments. Once we were happy, we popped the insulation in the wall. Now, if you’re going to give this ago yourself I’d recommend putting gloves on when handling the insulation, it’s prickly stuff!  The insulation we used looked like a big fluffy blanket(I don’t know the technical term) we tore it into 4 pieces to fit the holes in the wall – watch out for the fibreglass dust when tearing it.

We then screwed the plasterboard into the battens – make sure you use enough screws to support the plaster board, especially if you’re planning on hanging a radiator on  it afterwards – which we were.

Now … for the fun bit!  Plastering, which I did myself. What? I hear you say. Yes that is correct, I plastered my own wall!

Before you all jump to conclusions it’s definitely not a career path I’m planning on pursuing.

We mixed the bag of plaster and water together to get a thick, smooth but slightly runny mixture (look on the bag of plaster mixing ratios) also you will understand the texture of the plaster once you start to apply it to the area. You have to work with it to get a smooth and even coverage – It does take a bit of getting used to.

As we were having to fill in some gaps on the wall where the plaster met, we were told to use pva. Pva works as a bonding solution that helps the  plaster to stick to the wall or a painted surface.

Once dried, we applied a second coat of plaster – I believe that’s something you’re meant to do. Once the second coat has dried we will gently sand it down to remove any imperfections and to make the wall smooth. Haha, no my plastering isn’t perfect.

So a quick summary –

We had lath on our walls which is a lattice of thin narrow strips of straight-grained wood used to help hold the plaster.

We removed the plaster and the lath, insulated, screwed in plaster board on top, pva glued the area, plastered and sanded.

Here our the step by step pictures.

Good luck if you’re going to attempt something like this yourself and I hope it helps but if it does go wrong after trying to do what we did just remember my day job is beauty therapy not building, carpentry or plastering – which is probably just as well.

Skin Care, Mask Wear.

Skin care, Mask wear.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I certainly have, since wearing a mask little spots have been popping up all over the place on the bottom have of my face.

Are you struggling with this too?

Due to wearing a face mask for longer periods of time we are experiencing more break outs, congestion, rashes and eczema.

Firstly we need to make sure that our face masks are being sanitised frequently, It’s not too tight and it’s kind to your skin.

Secondly, skin care! ( my favourite bit )

The most important part of this is to make sure your skin is hydrated, drinking water alone won’t cut it. By keeping our skin hydrated it will help improve the barrier function of the skin.

Cleansing your skin morning and night with a hydrating cleanser is the first step in improving our skins barrier.

I wouldn’t recommend cleansing every time after wearing a mask as this can have the opposite effect and start to dry out the skin.

Look at using a highly moisturising face cream. This will hydrate and help protect our skins natural barrier.

Be careful when exfoliating or scrubbing, especially over any breakouts or rashes as it may cause it to worsen.

When looking for products to help protect your skin, look for ingredients such as: hyaluronic acid, green tea extract, colloidal oatmeal and turmeric as these all help to hydrate, soothe and are an anti inflammatory.

We just need to treat our skin with a bit of love and care. I hope this has helped and we can get our skin back to its glowing self in no time.

How to handle hormonal skin.

How to handle hormonal skin.

Before I get into the technical side my one forever piece of advice to you all – To.You All.- is,

DONT POP YOUR SPOTS!

Yep that’s right, I know it’s achingly tempting, but please step back from the mirror, un-pinch your thumb and forefinger and do something else. I am the owner of nine years worth of tiny scars on my chin from spot popping so if you ever want youthful dewy glowing skin (frankly who doesn’t ) then put your hands back in your pockets.

Okay, here we go.

Hormonal skin is something we have no control over it’s down to our hormones and we all know we have no control over those. They mess with our emotions and now we find out they mess with our skin too! However we can fight back and keep it under control with just a few basic steps.

1. DO NOT sleep in your make up!

2. Wash your face morning and night.

3. Use an appropriate moisturiser for your skin type.

4. Try not to touch your face.

5. DO NOT POP YOUR SPOTS

Keep reading for why we need to follow these 5 steps.

Difficult as this is to take in, we have to treat these pesky spots as our friends. We need to look after them so they don’t turn into enemies and damage our skin. Sounds mad right?  But the more we squeeze, pop and scrub vigorously – the more they will leave marks and the more they will reappear.

Spots occur because of dirt and bacteria in your pores, so if you’re touching your face or popping spots with unclean hands then you’re basically setting yourself up for unwanted visitors.

By cleansing morning and night we are removing any dirt, dead skin cells, sweat, make up and pollution from the pores and skin.

By doing this you should see your skin looking a lot clearer and smoother with no unwanted visitors.

I’d recommend cleansing twice when you wake and twice before bed. The first cleanse will wash away any dirt or grime on the surface of the skin.

Now that dirt and grime is gone it’s time to do the second cleanse to work in the deeper layers of the skin!

** When you start out with cleansing your skin you may find that you might get a few more spots than expected, this is completely normal as we’re detoxing the skin of all its impurity’s. Its annoying, but they will come out eventually- we are just hurrying up the process.  **

By using a moisturiser not only does it help hydrate and protect the skin it also closes the pores so no dirt or bacteria can get in. Choosing a moisturiser that is suited to your skin type is the way forward and not just any old moisturiser. By picking a moisturiser for your skin type it can help your skins needs, such as reducing excess oil, spots or intensely hydrate your skin.

** If you have open pores or an oily skin type then your pores will open through the day even with your suited moisturiser, this does mean you can get dirt, sweat or pollution into your pores throughout the day which can cause congestion. For this I’d recommend getting your hands on a toner! This product is a misting spray than not only hydrates your skin and is super refreshing but it also closes your pores! **

As by now you’ve probably gathered about why we have to cleanse our skin. You can see why it’s bad to sleep in your make up. Not only is it not a good look, it makes a mess of your pillow and has to be done in the morning anyway. Come on – you only have to wash it off, so do it before you go to bed if we want healthy skin. All that makeup up will slip into those pores and cause congestion.

Congestion is little bumps under the skin – it is dirt that is trapped under the skin and can lead to black heads. By cleansing twice it will help reduce the appearance of them as well as removing them.

As you can see dirt, sweat, make up etc is a massive part in us getting spots. But we don’t think about other factors contributing to it like – our phone screens, our pillows or even a high sugar diet! They are all things you can  either change or clean regularly.

** Also on ladies week you will get a spot or too no matter what we do, these will always appear especially around the chin, it’s typically a hormonal area. **

Lastly, when you pop a spot you don’t just pop all of the dirt out you often squeeze some of it out and squeeze some further down into the skins Dermis, this will then form another spot and so on. By squeezing a spot that’s not quite ready to come out, your pushing it through fresh and healthy skin layers, this is what leads to scaring. As the skin heels the skins tissue will be lost which will lead to scaring.

By leaving the spots alone they will leave in there own time and with out damaging any fresh skin tissue.

I hope this has helped you and if you have any questions please comment and i’ll help you the best I can.

Sail Croatia, continued…

Off we go again to our next stop Hvar. They say it’s just like the south of France and known for its lively bars, oi oi. Our little crew went to explore, the views from the Spanish Fortress were incredible yep we walked all the way up there in 30 degree heat midday, but it was so worth it. We weren’t actually staying on the island, we stayed a 40 minute ferry journey out on a little jungle island.

We got back to our boat at about 5pm and we all know that’s a perfect time for swimming and drinks before getting ready for dinner. Most nights all the boats would eat in their groups and we’d all meet up after for drinks. We found a little restaurant at the top of the island in the middle of the jungle ( mosquitoes everywhere) the food was amazing and the wine went down, well … a little too well. Tonight was different. We had a big night out planned in Hvar. The music filled the streets, the shots went down smoothly and we all had pizza at the end of the night – yes that is definitely a sign of a good night, now on the ferry back to the boat.

The next day the wind was strong and the waves were choppy, yes we all had our heads over the side of the boat. This was one of the longest journeys we had to do and the conditions couldn’t have been any worse for the state we were all in, but the sun was shining!

We arrived at Vis, feeling a little better and what could we see when we pulled up? That’s right, a moped hire shop, and that was the rest of the day set. We drove round the island exploring, ah it was perfect. When we arrived back we started to realise that when you were off the boat you felt like you were bobbing up and down, a strange feeling when on land really.

Our restaurant for the night was a little walk away but the food made up for it, tuna steak yum. One of the things I like most about being abroad is that most of the shops are open after dinner, so you can have a mooch but the best thing of all is when the ice cream shop is open.

The end is near! After our swim stop, which is where the submarines used as their tunnel, great jumping point – I chickened out, again. Our last stop before arriving back to Split was the island Colta, there wasn’t much going on at this stop but it did have a few restaurants, a beach and a shop, which don’t worry sold beer!

Off to the beach! This evening the skippers are making us dinner – tomato pasta. However me and Jon decided to go for a romantic dinner for 2! Oh wow it was definitely worth it, the food was out of this world (i’m guessing you’ve all caught on to how much I like to eat) Jon had sea bass, I had chicken in a creamy sauce and we shared BBQ grilled veg and mushrooms, my favourite.

Back to split we go, we were sad that we were going to leave our holiday friends, but we still had one last night. We couldn’t believe that it was a week ago we arrived in Split for our first night. We thought we’d explored most of it but we were wrong. There were some amazing historical buildings we’d missed. We also had to go to find the bus station and get our tickets ready for tomorrow and reluctantly hand back our watermelon!

A bar crawl was the plan for this evening. We grabbed a burrito or burger from this little take out place oh and the worst vodka pink lemonade I’ve ever tasted! While we were at the first bar of the night, all sat together a big firework display started. It really was a perfect finish to a perfect holiday.

I watched the sunrise again before we packed our bags and said bye to our new friends.

This is a holiday I would massively recommend, we were anxious about what sort of holiday it would be and whether it was suited for couples but it definitely was! I think the main thing was that we were teamed with such great people, they really made our holiday. We all still keep in touch!

I’ve been sitting in the garden in the sun with a cheeky vodka lemonade writing this and it really felt like I was back there. As soon as isolation is over I’m on that first plane out of here, roll on the next story.

A birthday to remember!

I have to say my amazing other half, Jon, really pulled it out the bag for my birthday. It was no easy feat given we were in lockdown, so planning the day’s activities and organising the food and drink while keeping it all secret was somewhat impressive!

He bought me my presents in bed and made me poached eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast followed by fluffy pancakes covered in nutella. yummy, I know! It was a good start!

Jon had planned 4 themes to the day, and before each theme, I was given a clue so that I could try and guess the theme. If I got it wrong I had to do a shot!

Theme 1 started at around 1pm and the clue was how many stars are on the American flag (its 50 if your wondering). I answered it wrong… first shot of the day to me.

For our first theme, America we had hot dogs with all the trimmings and of course beer!

We spent the next hour or so with a few games of cards – cheat, it turns out, is a good drinking game. If you called out cheat and you were right they had to have a shot and if you were wrong you had the shot. Its quite simple to pick up, but trying not to laugh while cheating is something i’m not good at.

Theme 2 – where is pit-bull from? Cuba! I got this one right so no shot for me, bring on the mojitos. Becky (Jon’s sister) gave me a step by step class in how to make them and safe to say, they tasted amazing.  Our Cuban dish was garlic and chilli prawns on garlic ciabatta bread, yum!

Cupcakes arrived, followed by a boozy game of ring of fire!! Always a good game to get a party started – even though ours was well underway. It was about 6pm, golden hour had hit, the tunes were playing and we were all wavyy babyyy.

Time for Theme 3!  How tall is the Eiffel tower? 984 feet don’t you know! I didn’t so another shot for me. Out came the Rose wine and camembert with warm bread, I love cheese so this went down a treat (we didn’t have the French flag printed….).

Music and cards carried on until the last theme of the night.

I know what you’re thinking; surely I can’t eat anymore food. But you are wrong.

Last theme – what colours are the Italian flag and in the right order? I got the colours right but not the order… final shot of the night along with pizza! Tomato, mozzarella and salami and a lot of ketchup, yes that’s right, don’t judge.

Evening had arrived and it was now dark, the fairy lights were on the table were doing their thing. We were having such a nice time you could hear our laughter carrying on into the night. Next to the living room ready for cake!

Ha-ha, I was full for cake (surprised?) I face-timed home for a quick update on the day and to hear my family sing happy birthday! It was lovely.

I really did have a great day and I’m so grateful for everyone who helped make a quarantine birthday one to remember.

Hope your all safe and well,

Love Ells xxxxxx
